In other words, if you block lgsmartad.com this will also block any DNS requests that contain that term.

Netgear and Draytek routers work fine. You also need to add grtsDownload.lge to the list as this is a new AD server they have started using.DoctorBeethttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12012691975729372789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173669841314281929.post-76968230499141307152014-06-02T06:46:18.073-07:002014-06-02T06:46:18.073-07:00Thanks for this LG and I have had an interesting d...Thanks for this LG and I have had an interesting discussion today as they have told me they "collect the file names of my documents to recommend things for me" I demanded a refund but they refused so I am looking to take this further.

Do you know if blocking the we addresses listed in your first lg post still works?ruzzyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08868192630332482659noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173669841314281929.post-44804337881744217092014-05-26T03:21:56.785-07:002014-05-26T03:21:56.785-07:00I've just finished a blog post on how to downg...I've just finished a blog post on how to downgrade your LG Smart TV's firmware to a less intrusive one.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173669841314281929.post-60028042762709316252014-05-26T03:19:42.277-07:002014-05-26T03:19:42.277-07:00I've just finished a blog post on how to downg...I've just finished a blog post on how to downgrade your LG Smart TV's firmware to a version less intrusive on your privacy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5173669841314281929.post-35032115623478228022014-05-23T02:19:10.025-07:002014-05-23T02:19:10.025-07:00The documents are available on the LG website unde...The documents are available on the LG website under Legal Documents(SmartTV), check out 'Additional Services', points 1-3.

BTW, to make the device you bought less valuable, LG removed the ability to switch audio tracks on DLNA playback in one of the latest firmware updates, apparently due to copyright/licensing reasons (WTF?).
